THE ROLE:
We are currently hiring a Senior Accountant to support our Controller and Assistant Controller in gathering and reporting the financial data of the company. Under general direction, this position performs a variety of accounting related functions in the areas of general ledger maintenance, month end closing processes, detailed account analysis, and financial statement preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of full cycle accounting experience
- Problem solving expertise
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
- Strong time management for critical deadlines
- Analytically inclined with special attention to detail
- High degree of initiative and independent execution
- Integrity and dependability
- Extremely organized and communicative
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Providing financial statements, aging reports and variance analyses to management and working to remedy discovered issues and trends
- Preparing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual support for closing and reporting cycles
- Preparing journal entries and detailed balance sheet account reconciliations
- Recording bank activities in the general ledger
- Managing fixed assets accounting and cost allocations
- Payroll reporting
- Investigating and resolving outstanding items
- Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transactions
- Maintaining financial security by following internal controls and established company policies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
- Basic math and computer literacy skills
HIGHLY BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced use of Excel functions
