Job Summary
The Tax department is a part of the Nestlé Finance organization responsible for all tax matters affecting the US operations, and is involved in all tax compliance, important mergers and acquisitions, and business structuring decisions. We are a collaborative organization which works closely with Legal, Legislative Affairs, Treasury, Accounting, Human Resources, and Business Operations. As a Senior Analyst in Income Tax, you will have a meaningful role in ensuring the company analyzes federal and state income tax filing positions, prepare audit-ready workpapers during the corporate income tax compliance process, research planning opportunities, and model law changes. You will have opportunities working with other groups for cross training experiences and project collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Identify potential opportunities and risks
  • Research technical issues and document analysis and conclusion for company position
  • Run apportionment Alteryx workflows and analyze apportionment data, identifying sourcing and evaluating year-over-year flux
  • Assist with structuring and preparation of tax modeling, which may include modeling income tax law changes or acquisition integration planning
  • Prepare federal income tax returns, including supporting workpapers, and state direct tax returns not prepared by co-source firm
  • Prepare state direct calculations for compliance workpapers and run Alteryx model for compliance workpapers, including estimated taxes, extensions, and year-end filings
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision, including tax-related financial disclosures
  • Assist with research, compliance and management of state income tax credits
  • Review and respond to state income tax notices
  • Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and pursue 40-80 hours of annual continuing education
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law or a related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in Tax
  • Experience in tax compliance or state income tax planning and executing projects
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of ONESOURCE tax software
  • Experience with Alteryx and / or PowerBI
  • Ability to travel for business 15% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Tax, CPA, or attorney member of a State Bar Association
