Sr. IT Project Manager - Remote Job at Comagine Health
The Sr. IT Project Manager is responsible for managing and directing strategic, complex and cross-functional Information Technology projects. The Information Technology Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects.
Responsible for leading and supporting technology projects related to healthcare or general business activities, including technology implementations, process improvement and/or change management.
Uses Comagine Health project management approaches and processes, as well as industry best practices, such as Project Management Book of Knowledge- PMBOK and Agile methodologies, to ensure optimal project outcomes. The Project Manager stays abreast of current trends in project management.
Operates from a Servant Leadership standpoint vs. a command-and-control standpoint. The Sr. IT Project Manager collaborates with the Operations Excellence project management team to continually look for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Comagine Health project management approach.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Leads/manages projects
- Providing leadership to project teams
- Developing project charters
- Working with organizational leadership to identify resources and budgets for the project
- Developing a project schedule/timeline
- Developing communication plans
- Tracking budgets
- Tracking project deliverables
- Organizing project documentation
- Guiding team toward completion of deliverables, by: Assigning tasks with clear roles and deadlines
- Convening meetings, setting meeting goals, creating agendas, and completing minutes
- Identifying and documenting risks and barriers
- Working with leadership to mitigate risks and remove barriers
- Report on project status, proactively alerting leadership to concerns
- Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
- Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Supporting projects led by other Project Managers/Directors through management of technical staff and components related to those projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with technical project management, including ability to lead all aspects processes included in initiation, planning, execution, monitor and control, and closure of projects. Including, but not limited to: Scoping projects and managing to the scope
- Developing project management plans, including but not limited to communication plans, risk and issue management plans, testing plans, training plans.
- Establishing timelines/schedules
- Monitor project budgets
- Assess project risks
- Managing the project team
- Preparing status reports
- Facilitating meetings, including creating agendas and minutes
- Knowledge of software development & release processes and best practices
- Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, Smartsheet, Jira, Trello, Basecamp, Slack.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
- Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
- Knowledge and understanding of Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM), such as Dynamics or Salesforce
- Comfortable working with and leading teams with members from all levels within the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including in-person and virtual team facilitation; demonstrates a passion for people, and helping individuals and teams perform at their highest level
- Ability to organize, coordinate and delegate multiple simultaneous tasks in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work with the project team to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments.
Required Experience
8 years’ experience as an IT Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-functional teams.
Preferred
3 years managing projects in a healthcare environment
Credentials and Certifications:
Required
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Preferred
Agile Certified Practitioner or other Agile project management certification
Compensation Range:
$110 - $135k
Geographical location is taken into account for compensation.
