The Sr Manager of Facilities is responsible for the efficient construction, renovation and management of BioTissue, Inc. physical facilities. These facilities are located at various locations within the State of Florida. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to building space planning, construction project management, layout and outfitting, management of maintenance and support operations, and will function as coordinator of disaster management and environmental health and safety activities. The position supports the efficient utilization of corporate resources, manages third party contractors and provides a safe and healthy working environment. Additionally, the incumbent assures compliance with local, state and federal regulations by coordinating the granting and maintenance of required registrations and licenses.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Management of construction planning and successful execution of building/renovation projects.
Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, building code requirements and interaction with regulatory authorities required.
Functions as primary company contact for all landlords and corresponding building management.
Create an outline of essential corporate procedures, develop a writing/updating schedule and deliver approved/released documents per plan.
Efficiently manage all building support and maintenance activities using both internal and external resources. Responsible for hiring, training and supervising a team of support technicians spread across multiple sites.
Identify potential vendors, negotiate contract terms, prepares presentations for internal and external review and manage ongoing business relationships.
Track and manage expenditures for all facility related projects, including both primary contracts and change orders.
Functions as primary interface with all external organizations involved with facility planning, permitting and construction. Functions as project manager for new construction and significant upgrades.
Maintain a listing of all local, state and federal registrations needed to support ongoing operations and coordinates with internal stakeholders to assure that all are up to date and appropriate.
Prepare/recommend office budgets and actively support cost savings and purchasing efforts. Approve payment of invoices weekly and review monthly department expense statement in order to stay in line with yearly budget
Collaborate with other key stakeholders to incorporate special requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, non-GMP Research and Development needs, as well as IT and Marketing requests.
Operates with the highest level of integrity and ethical performance. Has focus on detail and expects the same from internal and external business partners.
Direct internal day to day office procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Manages mail and janitorial and waste management services.
Position will require on-call status to address potential emergencies and physical security issues.
