Essential Functions:

  • Candidate will be responsible for all Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO) Management Processes and work all aspects of R&O management at the Program Level
  • RIO identification, assessment, and monitoring
  • RIO mitigation and capture
  • Execute a proactive risk identification process and to understand and evaluate new business opportunities and developments
  • Project management
  • Maintenance of the R&O management plan and Issue Management Plan
  • Administration and troubleshooting of the RIO tool and
  • Other ad hoc activities to help the program sustain a well understood and favorable risk posture and provide consistent predictability
  • Provide risk management advice to various teams

This individual contributor should be able to work independently with little oversight and be able to receive requirements at a high level and derive lower-level requirements as required. Candidate should possess leadership skills and should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 8 years of experience in Project Management or Risk Management
  • Experience with risk, issue, and opportunity development
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally. (managing projects, scheduling, budget)
  • Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years).
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Solid business acumen.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management
  • Government Contracting experience
  • DoD Top Secret clearance

Salary Range: $89,000 USD - $134,600 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
