In this role, you will be responsible for driving devices solutions engagements with clients which result in device solutions business opportunities. Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Oversees market review, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides deliberate guidance in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives.



Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assesses the current position/comprehensive view of the Devices organization using tools (such as SWOT review) to define the strategic direction of the business unit (BU). With this information, build a plan for the BU and the strategy to execute.
  • Spearheads process improvement initiatives through the disciplined use of measurements, accountability, analysis, and discussion of process alternatives to arrive at best practices.
  • Execution of business processes/workflows between product lines, matrixed R&D, regional sales, sales enablement, and service delivery teams; Collaboratively create new processes where one may not exist.
  • Evaluate customer needs for possible partnership solutioning opportunities.
  • Document new offerings and find Beta customers to test for viability and potential before offloading to product line management (PLM) team
  • Build business case and financial justification for strategic projects, included, but not limited to, site strategy, mergers, divestitures, and acquisitions (MD&A), or expanding into adjacent markets/technology areas.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant work experience, including business planning
  • 10+ years hands-on operational experience with any related functional area: R&D, service delivery, sales, finance, etc.
  • 5+ years of project/program management experience in a business or related functional area (R&D, service delivery, sales, finance, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or finance required. MBA highly preferred.
  • Significant knowledge of industry and customers, including value propositions
  • Strong and flexible communication skills, able to communicate with both a technical and executive audience interchangeably
  • Highly analytical with a keen understanding of risk management, prioritization, and trade-offs
  • Strong business mindset and financial acumen
