Job Summary

The Senior System Administrator will oversee the maintenance and security of company systems and services. Our Senior System Administrator will select, install and maintain all on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, including SaaS applications and SSO integrations. Reporting to the IT Director, the Senior Systems Administrator will enable the rapid scaling of the business in coordination with our leadership team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implements, scales, and manages all physical, virtual, and SaaS-based systems and infrastructure
  • Implements, scales, and manages enterprise storage solutions
  • Works with internal Software Development groups to maintain Azure and AWS resources
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Maintains security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Performs regular security tests and security monitoring
  • Streamline computer deployment process using technologies such as Windows Autopilot, and MDM solutions like Intune/Jamf/Mosyle
  • Streamline account provisioning process using Okta
  • Automate routine tasks and maintenance using PowerShell, MSGraph, or other scripting and API technologies
  • Mentor and train junior administrators and support staff where appropriate
  • Collaborate with Facilities teams to implement and maintain physical access control systems, video camera systems, etc.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field, or similar experience
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration
  • Experience implementing, documenting, and fostering adoption of IAM principles and technologies, e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD, Azure AD Applications, OAuth, SAML, Okta/Duo
  • Experience implementing and securing cloud resources, e.g., Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Experience with automation technologies, e.g., PowerShell
  • Experience with monitoring technologies, e.g., Icinga, SolarWinds, PagerDuty, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking structure, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ask key questions and provide best practice guidance
  • Experience supporting videoconferencing room technology - Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills

Work Schedule

  • Full-time 40 hours and generally scheduled Monday through Friday 9am-6pm EST
  • Responsible for responding to critical outages during off hours
  • Work schedule to be established with supervisor to ensure Company’s client and business needs are met
