Summary*
Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is in search of an experienced and accomplished professional to join its executive management team as Sr. Vice President Finance/Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to the President/CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for directing and managing the financial objectives of the credit union to ensure its continued managed growth with oversight in the areas of accounting, finance, asset-liability management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with vision and leadership characteristics necessary to work with staff at multiple levels ensuring operations remain effective and efficient with outstanding financial performance. This leadership role requires strong management, communication, and presentation experience with demonstrated hands-on collaboration, proactive budgeting, and strategic planning skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; an MBA and/or CPA is highly preferred. Additionally, working in a financial management role for more than 5 years at a financial institution with assets greater than $400mm is also required.

Job Summary*
The responsibilities will include managing general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, asset liability management, investments, audit, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), proven management skills, strong communication skills, vendor management experience, and extensive analytical skills.

Supervisory Role: *
- Oversees accounting, finance, back-office operations, treasury, audit and compliance staff and functions.
- Works with other senior managers for operational improvement and strategic planning purposes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and control the credit union’s overall financial plans and policies, accounting practices, and relationships with regulatory bodies, the financial community, and external auditors.
- Direct such functions as treasury, budgeting, accounting, asset/liability management, audit, compliance, and insurance activities including the preparation of related financial statements and reporting
- Calculate annual pension plan liability and related expense adjustments including fiduciary responsibilities and investment directives.
- Purchase AFS securities and daily management of investment portfolio.
- Responsible for maintaining and directing all facets of strategic and business planning including the financial analysis and coordination of projects related to newly planned products and services; works with the president and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
- Review and analyze operational processes and suggest improvements to current methods.
- Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in revenue and market share.
- Identifies opportunities for expansion into new markets, products, and services.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Accounting, or Finance required.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial management at a financial institution greater than $400mm required.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
