POSITION SUMMARY
Monitor the warranty performance for each YNCA supplied carline in the field through customer databases such as AWS-Ford, WIS-Chrysler, Gart-GM. Analyze data internally using our internal database or via externally database. Through in-depth data analysis, identify top issues, summarize findings into reporting matrices, and distribute to applicable internal and external program teams.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create standardized monthly reports for each program team and specialized reports for uniquely driven initiatives.
· Provide historical warranty data for new vehicle programs and obtain in-plant repair data.
· Provide field support for dealership visitations, and analyze field returns and teardowns while documenting and reporting out on the results.
· Generate GQRS (W) concerns for warranty returns and propose corrective actions for warranty issues to program team via BEAMS.
· Provide durability analysis reports on high mileage fleet to program team.
· Contact repair dealers to identify root cause of significant issues.
· Coordinate the correction of system issues and improvement efforts with the database supplier (Ubiquiti) to ensure proper functionality.
· Support management with data, charts, graphs, etc. for business unit reviews.
· Ensure data is collected, analyzed and corrective actions implemented for metrics according to the Metric Tracking System.
· Assist as required with group initiatives, objectives, communications, metrics, and customer deliverables.
· Provide current and historical warranty performance analysis to design engineering for DFMEA/DVP&R incorporation and resolution.
· Identify safety related warranty issues (report to program team).
· Lead warranty review meetings with the internal program teams and customers.
· Identify and define financial impact related to customer warranty recovery program.
· Verify accuracy, clarify performance/financial impact, and monitor potential monetary impact associated with Warranty Sharing agreements.
· Maintain Warranty related process flows and procedures.
· Lead disposition of material retrieved from customer warranty return centers and respond accordingly. (Returned Product analysis procedure)
· Conduct wiring system function and vehicle interface analysis to support customer claim investigation and resolution.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in quality engineering or related field preferred
Previous Experience:
10 years of project and systems experience in automotive EDS
Experience in warranty preferred
