Role Description:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant. This candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Accounting Department. A BS/BA degree in Accounting is required. The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational and analytical skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment. Strong Excel skills are a must and an Excel test may be given during the interview process. Additionally, knowledge of Microsoft GP Dynamics or other Windows based Accounting Software knowledge is required. This position will have additional functions including monitoring our 3rd party sick pay and employee contributions for medical leaves, resolving bank disputes, working with suppliers to resolve pricing issues on Direct Imports, and Preparing Monthly and YE Expense Analyses.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:
· Supplier A/R, including statement analysis and collection of monies owed
· Bank Reconciliations
· Cash Receipts Application/Cash Reconciliation
· Accounts Payable - Freight/Travel/Direct Imports of Product
· Journal Entries and F/S Analytics
· Analysis of Company Travel and Supplier sponsored events
· Filing the monthly Sales & Use Tax Return
· Special assignments and projects as needed
· Other duties may be assigned as required
