Staff Accountant Job at Rapid Response Monitoring
Location: Onsite: Syracuse HQ
As a Staff Accountant with Rapid Response Monitoring Services, you will be a key member of our accounting team. You will work with other departments to compile financial data to create meaningful reports for management and our C-Suite executives. You will analyze all types of data to reconcile and compare to past trends and ensure accurate reporting. You must excel at interpreting data received from multiple sources and applying your knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to analyze the General Ledger, Balance Sheet and Statement of Profit and Loss.

You must be interested in continuing to develop yourself, seeking out new skills and applying them to your work here, building efficiencies and streamlining processes whenever possible.
Responsibilities
- Analysis and reconciliations for general ledger account
- Post recurring and non-recurring journal entries
- Analyze activity in Balance Sheet accounts
- Analyze Profit and Loss results compared to past trends and expected results
- Independently identify monthly adjustment entries as needed from the review and report findings to Controller
- Prepare internal reports including budgets, cash forecasts, and sales summaries
- Prepare Financial Statements on a monthly and annual basis
- Develop and maintain documentation regarding analysis of master inventory log
- Prepare job cost analysis for completed projects and work in process
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Knowledge of general accepted accounting and auditing practices and principles
- Outstanding organization and planning abilities
- Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities

- Strong organizational and analytic abilities
- Proficient understanding of laws, codes and regulations
COVID-19 Requirements
- Must be fully vaccinated: 2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson, 2 weeks prior or more
