Iowa City Young Life is seeking to hire multiple positions to rebuild ministry with students and leaders in a large, multiethnic area.
This position has the opportunity to work alongside an area administrator, college director, committee, and local college and adult leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual leadership to students, leaders, committee, board and student staff.
- Disciple, recruit, supervise, support and develop area leaders and student staff.
- Help execute the area vision, ministries and strategic plan.
- Raise personal and ministry support for one or more high school ministries.
- Participate in dynamic direct ministry with kids (contact work).
Qualifications:
- Possess a Christlike character that is built on the Word and Spirit of God.
- Ability to build, train, recruit and grow teams of people (student leaders, adult leaders and committee members).
- Execute a vision and plan to grow current ministries in reaching kids, leaders, committee and parents.
- Passion for reaching lost kids and calling others to that mission.
- Proven leadership skills, strong organizational skills, and a great communicator to kids and adults.
- Experience as Young Life staff or volunteer leader.
- Ability to build relationships and disciple high school and college students today (contact work).
- Proven ability to raise personal and ministry support.
- Spiritually and emotionally healthy and willing to get the support/mentors needed to maintain.
