You would have the chance to assist clients with essential life casework in the areas of housing, public benefits, unemployment insurance, employment, education, consumer, and/or other civil matters.

Qualifications are as follows:

• J.D. and NYS Bar Admission (you will be considered if you have successfully passed the NYS Bar exam and formal admission is pending)
• Two or more years of legal experience, including litigation, is ideal but entry level professionals will be considered
• Demonstration of commitment and empathy while assisting those in under-served communities
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Strong analytical, research, legal writing and advocacy skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing multiple cases
• The capability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Fluency in a second language is an advantage, but not required
