Staff Development Specialist Job at Lifetime Assistance Inc.
PROGRAM: Administration
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Coordinator of Staff Development; provides necessary support to the Training Department. Obtains and maintains instructor certifications in designated training topics. Conducts various training sessions, as assigned, including some weekends and evenings classes. Assists with development and updating of training curriculum's and existing agency and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) training initiatives. Maintains direct contact with HR team, new employees, and training team. Provides assistance prior to and during new employee orientation. Participates in designated committees and special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree with a minimum of two years' experience in ID/DD services, including prior training experience and classroom management skills. Must be able to lift, move and transfer up to 50 pounds. Standard background checks do apply (To include but not limited to: criminal history record check, NYS Child Abuse Registry, OPWDD Staff Exclusion List, Mental Health Law 16.34, and Medicaid exclusions lists)
LOCATION: Rochester, NY
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
STARTING DATE: To be discussed at interview.
DAYS/HOURS: To be discussed at interview. 40 hours per week. Must be flexible to meet the needs of the Agency and Program including some weekends and evening training's.
