Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in application-level vulnerability testing, code-level security auditing
  • 3 years of security experience such as vulnerability management, incident management, security assessments (e.g., audits, threat modeling, red teaming) or security development (e.g., products, features, tooling)


Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of work experience in the product security, cloud integration, enterprise products, or related product domains

The ABCloud mission is to "Enable Alphabet use of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at scale through delivery of key GCP/TI capabilities."

We build platforms, infrastructure and tools to enable the development of Alphabet Workloads on GCP. We work with GCP Products and Security Engineering teams to ensure Google's exceptionally high bar for security is met through investment in both analysis and tooling. We make sure that the adoption of GCP services we provide is not only safe-by-default, but also guarded against unsafe changes and misconfiguration.

AlphabetCloud works with GCP product partners and other centralized teams to pave the way for major Google teams, Bets and Acquisitions to build exceptional infrastructure on GCP.

To do this well, we must have strong in-house security know-how and capabilities to partner with Security Engineering teams across Alphabet. We are looking for technical leaders and security domain experts to help shape the future of Alphabet on cloud and to help us expand our already sizable effort exponentially.

You will be collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure the security of cutting edge cloud technology that will power a number of the biggest and most innovative products and companies that are part of the Google/Alphabet family. This program is growing fast - internal GCP adoption is still in its early stages and many technical areas remain immature. It’s a great time and opportunity to join the effort, understand the needs of cloud customers, and make a real impact on the future of Alphabet.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $148,000-$230,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform security reviews, research and reproduce vulnerabilities, design secure protocols and systems, and write tests and fuzzers.
  • Review and develop secure operational practices, and provide security guidance for engineers and support staff.
  • Review designs and look for vulnerabilities, both with one-time reviews and longer term engagements.
  • Look for vulnerabilities with techniques including reverse engineering, fuzzing, and static analysis.
  • Focus on the security strategy for Google Cloud.
