ROLE OVERVIEW
The core mandate of the Staffing & Resourcing Manager is to ensure smooth processes and strong utilization of team members for the Build and Scale arm of Giant Machines’ work, which makes up the majority of Giant Machines’ headcount and revenue. We are a 70+ person Build and Scale organization and counting, and this role will require a combination of systems-thinking, people-organizing, and attention to operational details. You will work closely with the Build and Scale leaders (CTO and Engineering, Design, and Product Directors) to develop and refine the organizational structures that will enable our projects and people to thrive.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide up-to-date staffing visibility by maintaining staffing projections for projects and staying in close communication with project teams, Build and Scale leaders, and the GM Operations team.
- Prepare the agenda for and run various resourcing and harmonization meetings for Build and Scale leaders to ensure continuity and open lines of communication across the disciplines.
- Orchestrate project onboarding/off-boarding processes by scheduling & facilitating all necessary conversations with project leads and team members.
- Create and manage systems to ensure healthy feedback cadences between project leads, Build and Scale leaders, and individual contributors.
- Create and manage systems to ensure consistent project retros with actionable next steps and clear readouts to the Build and Scale leaders.
KEY GOALS & OUTCOMES
- Resourcing decisions are made with up-to-date information from across the organization, and allow for us to accurately predict hiring needs.
- Every delivery team member has at least quarterly growth conversations with their manager. Managers meet with project leads at least monthly to collect feedback on their direct reports.
- Every project has a retro at least monthly. Retros are facilitated in a way that makes team members comfortable to share candid feedback. Readouts from retros are actionable and result in positive changes.
- Build and Scale leaders are in sync and have administrative support where necessary.
ABOUT YOU
Ideal candidates will have:
- 2+ years of experience in a professional setting as a project manager, program manager, executive assistant, or related role.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects successfully and drive toward outcomes
- Interest in and ability to think strategically and from a systems perspective
- Experience managing resourcing for a client services organization a plus

NY Pay Transparency: The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 annually based on skills and experience.
