- Provide quality processed and sterilized instrumentation and supplies throughout the hospital, following regulatory guidelines and departmental procedures.
- Assuring suitable delivery of instrumentation to all departments serviced.
- Support and promote departmental priorities with respect to personal and patient safety.
- Effectively organize activities in a time efficient manner to ensure the delivery of care is proficient.
- Comprehend and complete regulatory recordkeeping as set by departmental policies.
- High school or equivalent education.
- CBSPD certification or equivalent for Sterile Instrument Processing must be completed no more than one year after date of hire.
- Surgical instrumentation is preferred.
- Must have good attention to detail and enjoy repetitive tasks.
- Be able to work with blood, body fluids and human tissue.
- Be able to work in a high stress environment.
- Must have good dexterity to properly manipulate instruments.
