- collaborating with the School Leadership Team to design and provide schoolwide proactive and responsive supports related to student behavioral, attendance, and academic needs;
- building positive and productive relationships with students to support their success;
- connecting regularly with students in informal settings (e.g., before and after school, hallway, cafeteria) to build relationships and provide check-ins with identified students;
- partnering with counselors for personalized learning to support and coach students in building self-advocacy skills; and
- consistently and enthusiastically promoting the expectation of high achievement for all students.

Position Overview
The successful Student Advocate candidate will be responsible for:
We strongly prefer candidates who have experience working with middle and/or high school students. Demonstrated experience in working effectively in collaboration with colleagues and families is desired. Multilingual candidates, and candidates with experience working in a diverse community are preferred.
Qualifications
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in education, youth development, multicultural studies, or related fields are preferred. The successful candidate must be a high school graduate with applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in this role. Additional demonstrated qualifications include commitment to the equitable education of all students; creative planning and organizational skills; highly effective interpersonal skills.
