There may or may not be any positions currently available. However, in order to be considered for current and/or future openings, please follow the application instructions below.The Loudoun Campus of Northern Virginia Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach one or more one credit hybrid and/or online Student Development (SDV) 100 courses that include a combination of in-class and online instruction.Adjunct faculty are required to meet with assigned classes regularly; support students inside and outside of the classroom, submit required grade records and reports routinely; teach the prescribed courses of study with the established textbooks; attend assigned divisional and college meetings; participates in job-related training, and contribute to the development of the program of instruction.Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs. Instruction may be during the day, evening, or weekend. Compensation is per credit hour and based upon rank. The adjunct faculty appointment contains no guarantee of continued employment.

KSA’s:Excellent writing and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work with or adapt to teaching with technologyDemonstrated ability to work with a diverse populationRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in the field with related experience



Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in the field or Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Counseling, Student Development, or related fields.Teaching experience – college level teaching experience preferred.Experience working with a learning management system (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)Experience teaching in-person and online/asynchronously,Experience teaching remotely/synchronously.
