Overview: The Superintendent at the CVFF Feed Mill is responsible for the production of swine feed for all of CVFF’s pigs in the IN and OH region.

• You will lead 3 shifts of feed production, consisting 9 total team members, and guiding their coaching & career development.
• You will oversee feed production and ensure the daily/weekly/monthly production goals are met, QA/QC tasks are complete, and hold the Team accountable when it comes to safety.
• You will report to the Feed Mill Manager and work alongside the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
Milling Operations

• Understands Company goals and aligns milling operations to meet the target metrics
• Responsible for all mill production areas from receiving through load-out
• Understands Mill Control Systems (WEM, REPETE, BETA RAVEN, etc.).
• Maintains accurate mill inventories reporting and levels needed to sustain daily operations
• Ensures the quality of ingredients from receipt through storage, including bin rotation and clean out.
• Reviews and analyzes Production Reports for efficiency & continuous improvement.
• Responsible for executing SOPs for all mill activities.
• Responsible for executing all company programs. Including the Safety Program, QA/QC programs.
• Responsible to comply with all environmental policies and procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow Food Safety Standards – FSMA & State Regulations. Knowledge to become a PCQI for the company's FSMA plan.
• Ensures overall cleanliness and appearance of the facility.
• Provides input to annual budgeting process to include staffing plan and production related cost metrics.

Team Member Leadership

• Directly Supervises a Team of Feed Mill Operators and Shift Leads.
• Schedules and Supervises the daily mill labor planning & utilization to meet required production targets over 3 shifts.
• Provides effective leadership to drive engagement and morale of mill Team Members.
• Coordinates with the Maintenance Supervisor for the repair and maintenance of all equipment.
• Collaborates with Feed Haul Transportation Supervisor for effective production planning & load-out of finished feeds.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsible for all Production Team Member training, development, performance appraisals, and employee retention goals.
• Leads all Feed Mill operations in absence of the Feed Mill Manager.

Training

• Provides development opportunities for Feed Mill Production Team Members.
• Responsible that all mill employees are properly trained in all applicable company programs.
• Ensure all team members are up to date on required Safety trainings.
• Assist HR in keeping all training material current to operating processes.
• Coordinate cross-training events between all mill departments.
• Leads Safety training.

Team CFG

• Help incorporate new ideas into the production system.
• Support the CVFF and CFG key expectations.
• Support Mission and Vision of CVFF.
• Participate in CVFF departmental meetings.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 Years' Experience of leadership experience Feed Manufacturing.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Proven record of accomplishment of success in managing and leading a team.
• An understanding of the feed mill process is required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
