Supply Clerk (SARDIP)

Location: NAS Norfolk VA / NAS Oceana

Pay / Hourly: $26.71

Description:

This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.

Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines (d) Inputs data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates and other pertinent information utilizing NALCOMIS/OOMA (e)Prepares special reports for maintenance updates as required. (f)Complies material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies, tracks production

Required Qualifications:

• Recent full-time experience in Integrated Logistic Support and System Life Cycle Support areas of DOD application. This shall include experience in U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps aviation supply support, technical logistical data, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation.
• Must be able to pick up a minimum of 50 lbs individually from the ground, vehicle or aircraft
• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate
• Advance Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
• Must be a High School graduate or equivalent
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to speak, read and write and understand English.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and / or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned task
• Must past pre-employment background check
• Must past pre-employment and post-employment drug testing.
• Must be able to attain and maintain a Defense Biometric Identification System Card (DBIDS).
• Must be able to attain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance
• Prior Experience with F-18 or C2-A Aircraft
• 4 years’ experience in US Military Supply and Logistics
