POSITION TITLE: Support Services Coordinator
REPORTS TO: OST Site Director

Summary
The Support Services Coordinator (Coordinator) is a new position within Girls Inc.’s Out-of-School Time (OST) program with a focus on increasing student accessibility at a school-based OST site. The
Coordinator will work with program staff to complete and support Student Accommodation plans. This includes connecting students and their families to the relevant supports such as connections to health resources (mental, behavior or physical), immunizations, parenting classes, benefits access, food resources, transportation, clothing, etc. This position will also provide support ensuring student participants have the accessibility support they need to participate in summer OST programs.
Essential Functions:
- Complete Girls Inc. approved training on creating an accessible program.
- Collaborate with Site Director to develop an inclusive environment within an OST Program.
- Support Site Director in developing training plans for staff to ensure they have appropriate training in SEL, Behavior Management, Differentiated Learning, etc.
- Schedule and complete an intake to assess the needs of the students during the registration process or as referred by the Site Director or Parent/Caregiver.
- Lead development process with Site Director, Parent/Caregiver and others as required for student specific plans to increase engagement.
- Monitor implementation plan and provide written report monthly.
- Identify and coordinate program-level support including staff training, technical assistance from Variety and PHMC , assistive equipment and technologies, and/or other materials to support students’ success.
- Assist students’ families with registration for services with external service providers.
- Support the site director(s) with family engagement and outreach.
- Develop and maintain a resource directory for students and their families.
- Advocate for student & families who use English as a second language to engage in the program and obtain translation supports.
- Foster relationships with school/site administrators and teaching staff. This includes spending non-direct service time at site to meet with teachers/administrators.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Reporting & Evaluation
- Create and implement procedures to track program documentation – logs, attendance, records, surveys, etc. for purposes of evaluation/reports.
- Collect, enter, and track resources and outcomes for students.
Professional Development
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development trainings essential to the execution of job functions.
- Participate in periodic assessment of own performance, develop own goals and objectives.
- Attend events, fundraisers that support the organizations mission.
Qualification:
- Enthusiastic about the mission and vision of Girls Inc.
- Must be able to report to program site daily.
- Experience implementing trauma informed activities that support behavioral health or social emotional learning.
- Ability to plan, implement, monitor, assess, and record student progress against accommodation plan, and adjust plans and services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of students in a diverse community.
- Knowledge of community health care and community services.
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish and English).
Education and/or Experience:
- Experience in in early intervention, early childhood special education, social work, early childhood education, child development, special education, family counseling, family studies, social welfare, psychology, or other comparable social sciences
- Two or more years of experience working with or providing services to children, families, or individuals with disabilities through care coordination or case management.
- Experience working in a school-based setting with students, facilitating meetings, and working in groups.
Required Certifications and Clearances
- BA/BS in Social Work or a closely related field (e.g. social services, sociology, psychology, theology, education, criminal justice, human services, and public administration)
- CPR/ First Aid/ AED Certification.
- Child abuse clearance, FBI clearance, and Criminal Background.
Location: Girls Inc. at the Bok Building and other school-based locations as required.
Salary: $40,000
