CONSTRUCTION SITE SURVEYOR

We are a nonunion contractor, with a sizable fleet of heavy equipment, operating within a 60-mile radius of Louisville, KY with our shop located off I-65 in Shepherdsville. Summary:
We are currently in search of a full-time Construction Site Surveyor to join our team. Hourly pay rate varies based on level of experience with the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Base Station Setup and Site Calibration.
- Site Staking for Curb, Sanitary, Storm, Water, Electric, Gas & Miscellaneous Staking as needed.
- Perform Topographic Survey to Verify Accurate Quantities Before & During Site Construction.
- Ability to work safely.
- Flexibility with regards to work schedule. Must be Willing to Work Overtime. Monday-Friday, 7am-5:30pm, and some Saturdays.
- Must Conduct work with 100% integrity and professionalism.
Education and Experience:
- Must be Proficient with Trimble GPS, SCS900 & Trimble Robotic Total Station
- Must Be Knowledgeable on Site & Utility Layout
- Must be Self-Motivated.
- Must Have a Valid Driver’s License & Safe Driving History
- Previous construction and survey crew experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Ability to receive written and oral instructions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with office and field personnel.
- Must be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others.
Physical Requirements:
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
- Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs.
- Navigate construction job site terrain.
- Identify utility lines.
- Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
