Job Summary
Safely drives and operates a Sweeper at Ceres construction sites
Duties & Responsibilities

• Drives truck machine to specified points
• Be committed to working in all weather conditions; rain, extreme heat and cold
• Pre-shift and post-shift truck check to check for proper operation
• Makes minor adjustments to vehicle
• Fueling and cleaning
• Complete paperwork as necessary
• Other duties may be assigned

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must have at least 1 year of verifiable work experience driving a sweeper truck
• Must be able to read and follow instructions in English
• Must be able to work any shift available (the day shift, the night shift and weekends as needed)
• Able to work around dirt, dust, and noise associated with heavy equipment

• Read maps and follows driving directions
• Solid understanding of traffic regulations and safe driving practices
• Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
