• Aurora Backup, Recovery and Storage System Administrator
  

• Aurora Flight Sciences, Inc Enterprise Information System (EIS) team is seeking a Backup, Recovery and Storage System Administrator. The EIS team is responsible for the M365/Azure environment, internal hosting, automations, and infrastructure support; not including networking. Currently we host VMWare technology using Dell equipment in support of Microsoft and Linux capabilities. This role will serve primarily as described below but will also act as a limited System Administrator and tier three support.
  

• Aurora is in a growth and transition period. The future for the EIS team is to move toward a hybrid environment of cloud technologies and on premises infrastructure. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively within EIS team to conceptualize and a deploy data redundant environment, data consolidation, cross site replications, as well as recovery planning and testing. This position will inform about and support the emerging use of Azure Cloud. This position is afforded a reasonable level of autonomy where the candidate must be a self-starter, intuitive, creative, and motivated to help move Aurora forward.
  

• This position must be filled with a US Person. The work location may be remote but within a one-hour recall to either facility at the Manassas, VA airport or the Bridgeport, WV airport with the desired location being Bridgeport, WV. The candidate may elect hybrid work or onsite. The workday is at least 8hours/day, Monday - Friday, with core hours being 8:00AM - 3:00PM. Infrequent early mornings, nights and weekends should be expected.
  

The successful candidate will:

• take control of our current Dell EMC Networker and Data Domain environment conduct daily maintenance and reporting for the environment deploy and configure Dell Protection Advisor (DPA) manage the Iron Mountain account and backup tapes distribution administer the current end-point backup solution (Druva) and M365 (e.g., SharePoint,
• Exchange, OneDrive) backups respond to storage and backup recovery request administer the on premises file shares respond to vulnerabilities and CVEs in support of other system administrators advise leadership on best practices and policies stay current on emerging technologies, provide researched recommendation operate in accordance with publish policies, practices and procedures as well as corporate values .

Requirements:

• 2 years, DELL EMC Networker (backups) experience
• 2 years, VMWare, Vsphere, Vcenter, Vmotion
• 2 years, Microsoft Active Directory
• Familiarity with Dell Isilon, Unity, VXRail
• Proven PowerShell user
• Experience engaging leadership and proving guidance on best practices
• US Person
  

Desirables:

• Familiarity with setting up and configuring Dell Protection Advisor (DPA)
• Familiarity using Zabbix for monitoring
  

Physical Requirements:

• This position will include periods of prolong sitting working at a workstation. Rarely, the position will require physical support installing, removing and physically configuring hardware which include lifting up 30 pounds. Hand dexterity is required to aid in hardware installation. There may be periods of prolong standing and/or walking at facilities and factories.
