About the Position

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for providing detailed and competent systems support for MVP Sports Clubs facilities. This position is Full-Time, and a part of our IT Department reporting to the IT Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software installation and setup.
  • Evaluate, test, and integrate new operation systems versions, drivers, and patches.
  • Responsible for analyzing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying NEC IP telephone system programming.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation relating to the system environments, assets, configuration, mapping, processes/procedures, and help desk tickets.
  • Responsible for assisting in other IT responsibilities, including database modifications and updates; configuring and setting-up PC workstations, user/email accounts, and access permissions to applications and data; procurement of software, hardware, and other IT-related resources; and training of end-users.
  • Responsible for server administration including server maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates.
  • Responsible for firewall administration including configuration changes, maintenance, and updates.
  • Responsible for recommending technology changes and brand standards by staying current in the industry.
  • Perform system backup and recovery.
  • Responsible for performance monitoring, including monitoring disk space, utilization, capacity, and availability.
  • Perform security monitoring and maintain security patches and updates.
  • Manage client-based proxy servers, firewalls, antivirus, and other related security platforms.
  • Travel is required between all MVP Sports Clubs facilities.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 year(s) of experience in either system/network or help desk support in a client/server environment.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Microsoft platforms, server environments, and network infrastructure. SQL experience a plus.
  • Proficient in computer and peripheral hardware with the ability to troubleshoot.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, other technical staff, and vendors.
  • Have knowledge and experience with Active Directory and SQL Database applications.
  • Have experience with the virtualization of systems (Hyper-V).
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, and other related network certifications are preferred.
  • User training experience preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 lbs; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of the telephone; see, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
