We’re looking for a Systems Engineer (Hardware) to join our team!

The Position:
As a Systems Engineer in the Product Development group you will play a key role in the shaping of our new product feature developments. Working with Product Management, Applications Engineering, and the Product Development teams you will use your knowledge of our system architecture and state-of-the-art technologies to take high level requirements and customer use cases to define system architectures, functional requirements, and implementation strategies. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who can see “the big picture” and then is easily able to understand how a capability transcends between domains to guide the development team on implementation details. Our products and technologies power critical applications with lives and businesses depending on our systems.
What you’ll be doing:
- Using your system knowledge, define and capture the requirements, architecture, and implementation strategy for our product features
- Collaborate with Product Management, Applications Engineering, Hardware, Software, FPGA, and Mechanical Engineers on defining solutions meeting product requirements and customer use cases.
- Provide consultancy, analysis, and technical expertise to customer requirements.
- Work with the Product Testing team on the definition of test methods and strategies for both new and existing capabilities
- Work with the Quality and Production teams to ensure that system requirements are adequately validated and covered in testing.
- Shaping our product designs to ensure the architectures meet the current and future needs of our customers
What you bring to Orolia:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience with relevant electronic products
- Experience with system design and product requirements
- Experience with working from customer use cases to design definition
- Strong technical knowledge of embedded hardware systems
- Understanding of electronics designs and testing methods
- Oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Linux and networking
- Experience with product certifications such as CE marking, product safety, and emissions
- Experience with timing systems and oscillators
- Experience with inertial navigation systems
