Position Description: Systems Validation Engineer

Overview:

Deliver the Vehicle Features Systems workstreams for the Systems Engineering & Validation organization to support the increasingly complex, feature development, verification and validation of such systems. Vehicle features specifications are developed in Ford together with application teams and in conjunction with interfacing areas within Ford (e.g. Electrical, Chassis, Powertrain, Body Interior/Exterior) and suppliers. The Vehicle Features Systems Engineering & Validation Team is aimed at specific areas to enhance software quality through functional ownership of several key features, interface between the core teams in North America and Europe, and process development including management of deliverables in Ford tools like FEDE.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for feature ( automatic engine idle shutdown) develop and manage the application specific Feature Document (from core), develop the DVP at feature level and implement testing on vehicle and manage HIL tests requests where applicable.
• Colleting data from uncovered issues via Jira.
• On-Site physical Vehicle level testing on vehicles for multiple program phases.
• HIL Checks.
• Breadboard Checks.
• Feature Design Verification Method Specification (for applications extracted from Core specifications).
• Design Verification (Testing Execution) of Feature Eg using CAN tools.
• Requirements Validation.
• Validate Feature Concept Design.
• Application Specific Feature DVP.
• Vehicle coordination for test inc TOPT usage.
• HIL test management – coordination of HIL tests for AEIS.
• Test – tests for each vehicle using Ford DVMs.
• Test reporting using Ford DVP template and loading to FEDE.
• FEDE status reporting.
• Launch issues resolution mgt – triage issues & manage inc raising JIRAs for issues.

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor / Master Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
