Overview & Responsibilities:
BET is seeking a Talent Relations & Awards Coordinator to support the Original Programming Talent Relations & Awards team, based in Los Angeles. This role reports to two (2) Sr. Directors of Talent Relations & Awards.
The Talent Relations Department is responsible for leading the network’s best-in-class strategy, outreach, and initiatives for all BET Networks’ (BET, BET+, BET Studios) Original Programming talent - both scripted and unscripted. This team partners closely with a variety of internal and external partners to ensure successful collaboration; spearheads all aspects of building loyal and prosperous relationships with high-profile and burgeoning BET talent and influencers; and provides critical Talent Relations support to Network premieres, trade events, film festivals, and tentpole specials.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain calendars, production timelines and deliverables
Meeting coordination, management, notes (invites, adjustments, agendas, materials, notes distribution, etc.)
Organize digital assets: proper filing on server, file distribution to various internal teams, external agencies/vendors as required, create packages for distribution, etc.
Maintain talent databases and organizational grids
Book talent travel and manage all logistics
Tracks all pertinent documents for tentpoles & series including deal memos, nominee invitations, talent tracker, etc.
Provide team support in managing talent onsite (and offsite) at tentpoles, press events, film festivals, and premieres
Work on the cross-functional Awards team, developing and managing creative campaigns for Emmys, Golden Globes, Guilds, NAACP, SAG, etc., across print, outdoor, digital, TV, and radio
They will also work alongside the internal teams (media, publicity, social, content) and to align on strategy
Will liaise with outside PR agency and Awards consultant to bring best-in-class campaigns to life
Handle all invoicing and expenses for Directors and team as needed, ensuring timely processing
Gathers and enters submission information and materials for festivals and awards from internal and external teams
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of administrative & entertainment industry experience
Fluency in commonly used cloud-based software: Microsoft 365, G-Suite, Slack, Airtable, Concur, etc.
Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Familiarity with Wrike is a plus
Discernment. You habitually exercise discretion with internal, sensitive, and confidential business; you're keenly aware of your location, audience, surroundings, and who might be listening
Understand the nuances of working with executives, talent, and industry representatives
Ability to travel, work evenings, holidays, and weekends, as needed

Maintains professionalism among both talent and executives
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Must be self-motivated, poised, patient, positive, and have superior interpersonal skills
