The senior accountant will provide immediate and long-term tax solutions for both businesses and individuals by working on progressively more complex client engagements with minimum assistance. Of course, you’ll get all the guidance that you need, but no more micromanaging your every move! You will assist in the training and supervision of staff accountants and assist in the review of their work. Senior accountants have increasing involvement and communication with our clients and independently solve routine technical problems.
How you will spend your time:
- Perform diversified accounting and tax assignments under the direction of a supervisor, manager or partner while working to meet important deadlines
- Provide a variety of services based on client needs:
- Preparation of partnership, corporate, individual and trust returns
- Business and individual tax planning
- Retirement planning
- Estate and gift tax planning
- Provide supervision, training and support to staff accountants and promote open communication to the engagement supervisor, manager, and partner
- Prepare formal correspondence to clients for approval and signature by partners
- Act as a liaison between client and firm to provide job status updates, issues, and potential problems in order to successfully complete the engagement.
- Begin acquiring the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty
- Participates in Firm’s business development efforts, including:
- Providing outstanding and timely service to clients
- Identifying and making partners aware of potential expanded services for clients
- Developing a referral network among professional peers
- Accompanying partners on business development calls

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
