Job Description
AVIDA Dance Company is Chula Vista’s latest dance studio founded by experienced directors looking to raise dance education to the next level. With a newly renovated facility, AVIDA is actively seeking a ballet dance teacher to help instruct the 2023-2024 season.
AVIDA believes that all dance styles require a strong foundation in ballet. We are seeking a kind, passionate teacher who can positively challenge students to bring out the best of their potential. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in ballet and experience teaching children of all ages.
Core to AVIDA's mission is a highly competitive dance team, the success of which is dependent on our teachers. AVIDA emphasizes strong community and team-building among our teaching staff, and candidates will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with their peers to bring out the highest level of instruction for every dancer.
Salary
This position is a part-time, contract position with pay rates ranging from $20 to $30/hour, depending on experience. AVIDA believes in recognition and reward, and bonuses are available throughout the season.
Hours can vary and are flexible. Classes start at 4pm and can finish as late as 9pm. We will work with candidates to create a schedule of classes, but can change throughout the year.
