Team Leader

Responsibilities and Roles could include the following:

• Safety is a Priority
• Aid and assist to include ALL members of team and Group Lead.
• Step in when needed
• Promote team concept and engagement
• Communicate effectively (giving and receiving information) to the team as well as between shifts
• Be a good listener
• Support Standardized Work to include revisions/improvements
• Support daily operations
• Continuous Improvement to include but not limited to Safety/Cost Savings/Quality/Work Processes
• Ensure all team members are fully aware of all safety aspects of the task.
• Ensure all team members have what they need to do perform their job.
• Ensure Standardized Work/SIS’S are followed
• Use Standardized Work to coach and improve Team Member performance
• Operates within the Leadec's Values (Professionalism, Respect for Individual, Colleagueship, Openness, Reliability and Integrity) to promote an overall positive culture.
• Train team members who are newly assigned work assignments helping them attain safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Audit Standardized Work / SIS’S
• Initiate Problem Solving Activities for the Team
• Replace missing team members
• Improve work processes
• Encourage improvement ideas and help implement ideas
• Liaise with Support Functions to solve problems- root cause
• Obtain data and lead Team problem solving activities
• Coordinate work within the Team area
• Work with Group Leader to rotate team members between workstations and/or work assignments ensure proper cross training levels are kept.
• Lead team meetings as scheduled
• Update indicators and Team Board

Qualifications:

• Safety, quality, productivity and team oriented
• Strong leadership skills.
• Able to communicate effectively and accurately with all levels of management and co-workers in spoken and written language.
• Strong ability to organize while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability
• Able to take action in solving problems with a realistic understanding of issues
• Ability to enter data accurately
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

The employee is required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surface from 8-12 hours. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.

Team Leaders will not be responsible for the following:

· Payroll

· Attendance Records

· Vacation scheduling

· Discipline

· Overtime Equalization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.88 - $18.89 per hour
