Summary As leaders in project excellence, LATA has over four decades of proven success in global and domestic markets as a small business specializing in federal government and commercial contracting. The Technical Proposal Writer is responsible coordinating and writing technical proposals in response to federal, state, and commercial procurement opportunities. The Technical Proposal Writer will work directly with capture managers, technical teams, contracts department, and the business development team to coordinate and prepare technically accurate, winning proposals compliant with RFP requirements. Problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently are critical for this position.

Essential Duties

• Craft winning responses to federal, state, and commercial procurement opportunities. This includes requests for quotes, request for information, and requests for proposals.

• Identify and coordinate efforts of the proposal team including internal members and external teaming partners.

• Lead proposal kick off meetings and status update meetings.

• Track procurement deadlines and create a proposal development schedule.

• Write proposal sections and compile a comprehensive, LATA-branded, polished proposal.

• Responsible for editing, proofing, and writing all aspects of proposals (resumes, project descriptions, past performance).

• Conduct thorough review of RFPs and ensure proposal compliance with solicitation requirements.

• Coordinate and lead proposal review teams.

• Maintain solicitations and proposal records on server.

• Develop library of boiler-plate proposal language adaptable to specific needs. • Attend and be an active part of win/loss debriefings.

• Capture and lead internal discussion of lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Background in a science field, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design.

• 5-10 years’ experience leading and writing federal technical proposals.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to create, edit, and upload graphics and images applicable to proposals and project descriptions

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

• Ability to work in a high stress environment that may require after-hour work at times.

• Ability to quickly adapt into a new organization and make immediate impact through a positive and proactive nature, high energy level and credible experience.

• Must have strong interpersonal skills, be goal- and performance-oriented and be able to set priorities.

Salary $95,000-$110,000
