Wilson Language Training is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our IT Team. You will be working in a collaborative team of IT Operations professionals supporting both corporate IT infrastructure as well as client-side applications and hardware. The Technical Support Specialist will be the first line escalation point for technical problems and will provide a supporting role for updating, maintaining, and responding to corporate IT systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, modify, and update computer hardware and software systems
  • Respond to and maintain monitoring and alerting systems as well as provide on-call support
  • Maintain, respond, and provide analysis on security platforms such as email security and EDR
  • Assists with management of cloud services such as Office 365
  • Manage and maintain corporate backup infrastructure
  • Provide escalation support and mentorship to internal helpdesk
  • Document hardware and software changes

Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting competency with the ability to absorb and apply newly learned technical skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information in an accessible manner to non-technical employees
  • Possesses a process improvement and automation mindset
  • Proficiency in security principles and procedures and ability to incorporate into all aspects of work
  • Proven software maintenance, updating and testing capability
  • Familiarity with ITIL principals and working in and assisting others through company help desk software in addition to other remote access programs
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 management including Exchange and Azure Active Directory
  • Knowledge of the capabilities and management of MDM systems such as Intune or Workspace One
  • Experience with maintaining security platforms such as email security and EDR systems
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of all current versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems as well as Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, and Active Directory
  • Strong desire to learn and mentor with a passion for technology and innovation, and the ability to work as a team player
  • Knowledge of script languages such as PowerShell preferred

Experience:

  • 2-4 years minimum (5+ years preferred) experience in an information technology field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
