Job purpose

The Technical Writer responsibility is to write the content and define illustrations to be used for the proposal. In addition to, implement proposal strategies, technical features, and benefits, win themes, discriminators, use other information gathered from intelligence and incorporate them into proposal sections.

.Duties and responsibilities

• Proposal operation support, including participating in proposal kickoffs and reviews and close collaboration with the Proposal Manager, Editor, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Graphic Artist, and Desktop Publisher to ensure the development of high-quality responses in a timely manner.
• Write persuasively and create strategic messaging, including executive summaries and other critical components of deliverables, interpreting information from research profiles, meetings with pursuit team members, client meetings, and understanding of the business and Deloitte’s offerings.
• Develop strategies for new business pursuits and retention opportunities, apply targeting and sales principles to uncover target client needs, identify win themes, create compelling messages, brainstorm solutions to challenges, and identify benefits for target clients.
• Successful candidates should be able transform strategic thinking into persuasive deliverables that differentiate the company, such as proposals and oral presentations.
• Conduct or oversee research and analysis for pursuits using external sites and internal resources.
• Collaborate with other pursuit team members, continuously refining and improving pursuit strategies, and acting as a project-by-project liaison between our team and the broader organization.
• Work in partnership with the design team to stay on brand.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm., excluding federal holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Experience with government contracts are a must.
• Experience in Healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of a technical field, such as engineering or computer and information technology
• Written and oral communication skills
• Ability to learn and adapt to changes in process, learn new concepts and technology, and exhibit personal ownership of tasks and deliverables
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage, review and correct non-conformity in process from initial ideation and framework discussions and source materials
