Job Duties:

  • Provides technical writing support for the production of all agency procedure manuals.
  • Ensures that all procedure manuals are maintained and up to date.
  • Maintains list of related trainings that must be updated to remain in sync with procedure changes.
  • Updates the agency Policy Manual at the direction of the Director of Quality Improvement/ Compliance Officer.
  • Ensures that all procedure manuals are consistent with each change or update to the Policy Manual.
  • Research and identify public, institutional, & private requests for proposals & grant opportunities that are aligned with the agencys mission and strategic plan for programs and services.
  • Works closely with the Director of Quality Improvement/ Compliance Officer for preparation for site visit and monitoring preparation.
  • Maintain Planning and Tracking calendar for:
    • Current funding renewal requirements and application cycles.
    • Known funding entities and their annual granting processes & cycles.
    • Maintain list of agency funding priority and needs, seeking match to need and funding opportunities.
    • Track and report on all grant submissions and awards each month.
  • Project Management of New Grant Submissions
    • Including outlining requirements and coordinating team for grant submissions; coordination and requests for letters of support and memorandums of understanding; compiling all elements of grant proposal for review and submission; coordinating internal review, edits and pre-submission scoring.
    • Timely submission of full grants
  • Project Management of ongoing funding applications
    • Including coordination with contracts manager regarding renewal application requirements; outlining and coordination of responsible parties submission for applications; editing for internal consistency among documents and that all proposals are clear, concise, and follow the application submission guidelines; coordinating internal review, edits and pre-submission scoring.
    • Timely submission of full grants
  • Staff training presentations:
    • Assists with creation, formatting, editing and design of trainings and updates in keeping with changes to procedures and procedures manuals
    • Assists with the conversion of trainings to E-Learning formats

  • Ability to interface well with all departments of the company and to represent the Suncoast Center Management team in a highly professional manner. To maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Multi-tasked orientated.

Minimum Qualifications:


Education:
Bachelors Degree in Communications or relevant field; Equivalent work experience, may be considered towards degree requirement.

Licensure: N/A

Experience: At least four years technical writing experience, including grants research and writing, procedural and technical manuals writing, and policy manuals writing.

Driving Requirements: Must have a valid Florida drivers license and a driving record that is acceptable to Suncoast Center.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to complete a level II background screening and pre-employment drug test in compliance with Florida Law. Must be at least 21 year of age. Must be able to provide official transcripts.

Working Conditions: Indoor work. Forty hours per week. Exposure to multiple, simultaneous deadlines, high-stress position. Ability to work in an office environment with multiple projects and deadlines. Interaction with board members, and the public, including funders and donors.

Computer Literate: Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient use of internet search engines utilized for research. Ability to design/create graphs, diagrams, and flow charts to communicate concepts through appropriate computer software products.
