Nashville’s Anheuser-Busch Distributor, Ajax Turner Company, is hiring a Telephone Sells Representative. Ajax Turner Company, founded in 1961, is a multi-generational, family owned and operated business located in La Vergne between Murfreesboro and Downtown Nashville. Ajax Turner Company proudly distributes and represents Anheuser-Busch, top selling local, regional and import brewers, premium non-alcoholic beverages, and a great selection of award-winning wines and spirits from all over the world.

The Tel-Sell Rep will be responsible for managing the sales across 700+ lower volume accounts within Ajax Turner's territory in the Middle TN area. These are account that focus more secondary on alcohol. This position will sell Wine, Spirits, Beer, and Non-Alcohol. This position will manage the multiple ordering platforms as well as update and provide regular maintenance within the retailer portals among other things.

This position will come into the office on a daily basis to call and receive orders via phone/text email, and will go out into the field on an as needed basis.

SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 9:00am- 5:30pm. Some after hours phone calls/texts are to be expected.

PAY RANGE:

$45,000 base salary, plus $600 annually in Safety Bonuses to be paid out monthly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required, college degree a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with Class “F” endorsement required upon hire
  • Satisfactory driving record with less than 8 points on record in the last 3 years
  • 3-5 years’ beverage or consumer products sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Bi-lingual ability in Spanish and English a strong plus
  • Interest in continued education in Wine, Spirits and Beer.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and achieve goals.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contacting lower volume accounts on a scheduled basis via telephone, text, or email to sell products, merchandise, monitor prices, and manage shelf space
  • Attending bi-monthly and quarterly wine, spirits, craft beer, and N/A product training meetings
  • Field all Tel-Sell account phone calls/questions
  • Review online retailer portal orders
  • Primary contact for responding to Live Chat questions on the retailer portal
  • Working with service reps, merchandisers, leadership, and our customers to maximize sales and merchandising
  • Maintaining a superior knowledge of ATCO's portfolio as well as selling skill techniques (beer, wine, and spirits)
  • Building business relationships using sales history and ATCO training
  • Having all order transmitted no later than 5:30pm
  • Visiting accounts on an occasional basis
