Telehealth Veterinarian (Remote, US) Job at Koala Health
At Koala Health, we have our eyes set on an ambitious goal: to make managing your pet’s health simple and delightful. We’ve already launched our pharmacy service that allows people to shop for their pets’ medications and supplements online and get them delivered to their doorstep in presorted medication pouches. Now we’re focused on continuing to improve that experience while building a suite of new products and services that will make the pet health experience even better.
What you'll do:
- You will be responsible for helping build and grow Koala’s TeleHealth service while providing outstanding clinical care to our customers and their pets
- You will report into our Head of Veterinary Services and provide feedback on internal platforms and tools
- The position is intended to be remote, working from your home
- Communicate with clients about pet health and wellness
- Record actions by documenting and updating forms, reports, and animal records
- Ensure compliance with veterinary procedures, ethics, policies and relevant statutes
- Ensure communication and coordination with clients' primary care veterinarians
What you'll need:
- 1-3+ years of general practice with preventative care, small animal companion care, microchipping
- Enjoy working across internal teams, as well as with clients and patients
- Must have proficient computer skills as this will require interacting with customers and Koala team members remotely through an online platform.
- Is passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Have access to high-speed internet and additional back up WiFi via hotspot.
- Have a designated home working space that is quiet and free from disruptions.
- Ability to describe veterinary processes to drive technology improvements
- State Veterinary Board Licensed and must be in good standing
