Telephone Operator - Part Time Job at Mission Inn Resort and Club
Job Summary:
Answers incoming calls to the resort front desk, helps customers by directing them to the appropriate department, answers questions, and provides assistance regarding the resort, its amenities, etc., when appropriate. Sends and distributes faxes and scans. Assists front desk clerks and reservations agents as required.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitates communication by answering incoming calls; sending and receiving faxes; distributing mail; responding to requests.
- Resolves mail problems by opening, reading, and directing unknown mail.
- Maintains the organization's telephone directory by inputting updates.
- Keeps communications system and facsimile equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Maintains quality results by following organization standards.
- Improves clerical job knowledge by attending training sessions; reading publications.
- Contributes to clerical and organizational success by welcoming related, different, and new requests, and helping others accomplish job results.
Qualifications:

- Education High School or equivalent
- Customer service on the phone for 1 year.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- English Language fluency
- Spanish fluency is a plus
- Experience in the hospitality industry
