What is the role?
Primarily responsible for providing exceptional member service to Westerra members by identifying and providing solutions through a consultative approach. This position is relationship building role with a blend of financial transactions performed on the teller-line (60%) and further deepening relationships with account servicing and loan origination (40%).

What will be expected of me?
  • Accurately processes financial transactions in a timely manner.
  • Identifies the financial needs of new and existing members through open-ended questions and a consultative approach.
  • Opens new accounts.
  • Originates credit card and consumer loan applications.
  • Assists members with account transactions and demonstrates the use of automated services to new and existing members in order to increase the use of automated services such as online banking, eStatements, and bill pay set-up.
  • Services, maintains and answers member questions related to all products/services including but not limited to: ACH transactions, stop payments, VISA Debit Card, On-line banking, Bill Pay, wire transfers, Share Certificates, deposit rates, IRAs, and account histories.
  • Adheres to all Westerra policies and procedures and Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the credit union.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What I’m bringing…
Experience/Education:
  • Minimum 2 years’ customer service experience.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in consumer lending, financial services and/or consultative sales/service.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems and respond with appropriate solution.
  • Basic Computer Knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of business and operating environment.
  • Accountable for the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Ability to understand straightforward, administrative, and/or other basic product and service offerings.

Salary
: This position starts at $20 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus based off organizational performance. Please note: for internal transfers, Westerra’s Guidelines will be used to determine the appropriate promotional increase.
