Child Care Specialist
- Brief Intro
Responsible for accurately assessing, implementing, and updating a parent’s ongoing need for child care based on eligibility requirements, and seeing that the provider Enrollment process for child care providers is complete.
- Essential Job Duties
- Assists clients with locating needed services
- Completes FACTS intakes and update client cases as needed
- Continually monitors and verifies clients need for care
- Verifies accuracy of provider billings and audits child care clients as needed
- Participates in fraud investigations, initial contacts to support allegations and ongoing contact with the Investigation Department when applicable
- Acts as a liaison between clients and DHHR personnel

- Qualifications
Qualified applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field or early care and education or child development. Related fields include social work, sociology, psychology, counselling, interpersonal communications, elementary or special education, and behavioral science. Person must have excellent written and verbal skills and be able to work with clients of various cultural, ethnic and racial diversity. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Pay: From $32,900.00 per year
