Claude H. Nix Construction is a leader in Underground and Trenchless Construction. We are family owned and have been in business for over 45 years. We have an immediate need for an experienced Welder/Laborer.
This job posting is for a Temporary Pipe Welder beginning June 23' and guaranteed through August 23' with potential to lead in to September 23' dependent on work load.
Responsibilities for the Welder/Laborer include:
- Live our Core Values: Safety, Honor, Communication, Innovation, and Strength.
- Must be proficient in Welding (SMAW) on site and Fabrication in shop as needed.
- If candidate is experienced, they may be asked to Safely and Proficiently operate and maintain various pieces of construction equipment. Some examples would be a rubber tired loader, excavator, rubber tired back hoe, auger bore machines, pilot tube micro-tunneler, caisson drill, etc.
- Help to maintain a safe and neat work site.
- Always work safe and use the proper tool and/or rigging for the task at hand.
Requirements for Welder/Laborer :
- Must have a 7018 Structural Certification or equivalent skill and be able to weld Pipe to our standards.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation, you must have an automobile to get to work site.
- BE A SAFE WORKER
- Be in good physical condition. Be able to lift items in excess of 50 LBS.
- Have a good attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Class A CDL is a PLUS.
- Must be able to travel.
