The SPARC Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission of keeping residents of Western North Carolina healthy, safe and out of institutional care. We contract with the Department of Social Services in order to hire and support Social Workers in their important work with families and individuals.  SPARC's core values are: Authenticity, Balance, Collaboration, Courage, Direct Communication, Equity, Humor and Innovation

Currently, SPARC is hiring licensed TEMPORARY SOCIAL WORKERS to work full-time with Buncombe County DSS. Positions may be in CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES (Investigations, In-Home or Foster Care), EXTENDED FOSTER CARE SERVICES (teens who are aging out of the Foster Care system), or ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES. These positions will maintain their own caseload and support families in achieving case plans.

Pay: $19.00-30.00 per hour

A SW I would eran $19-20/hr

A SW II would earn $23-$25/hr

A SW III would earn $27-$30/hr

COVID-19 considerations:
We are doing the majority of the work in person while practicing stringent safety precautions (PPE, social distancing, critical thinking to determine what contacts have to be face to face and what can be virtual). Telecommuting for all staff meetings.
