This job involves interviewing farmers and ranchers and asking basic questions about their farm or ranch. The job is temporary, and work will start in February 2023 and not to exceed May 2023. NASDA is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association that represents the elected and appointed commissioners, secretaries, and directors of the departments of agriculture in all fifty states and four U.S. territories. Founded in 1916, our mission is to grow and enhance American agriculture through policies, partnerships, and public engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIELD ENUMERATOR

• Applicants must be 18 years old
• Applicants must have a valid driver's license, current auto insurance and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Applicants must consent to a background and motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals
• A farm background and knowing both English and Navajo is desirable, but not essential.

WORK SCHEDULE
