Territory Manager - Illinois/Indiana Job at Molded Dimensions

Molded Dimensions Group is a molder of custom engineered thermoset elastomers, including rubber and cast polyurethane. Under the direction of the VP of Sales and in conjunction with the sales organization, manufacturing representatives, in-house engineering, and other MD departments, we are looking for an experienced Territory Manager, with proven success in the Rubber and Plastics Custom Molding industry, to establish profitable sales growth in the Illinois, Indiana, and any additional unsupported states within driving distances.
Principle Duties
- Work closely with Prospects, Customers, Estimating, and Engineering, when required, to facilitate the capture of new customers, tools, and programs to support profitable company growth
- Manage existing customer base and widen footprint with customers already working with the Molded Dimensions Group
- Position work will include prospecting, qualifying, developing, and closing new accounts. 50-60% travel will be expected within Illinois and Indiana territory, and as needed
- Communicate and manage through commercial issues with customers as required.
- In conjunction with the VP of Sales, assist in development of Marketing strategy for Molded Dimensions Group
- Enter relevant data into current CRM database and actively update information on a timely basis.
- Define and develop a Strategic Plan for profitable sales growth within Territory.
- Capacity and drive to learn the business and ultimately be part of the overall company succession planning
- Attend/Exhibit any relevant trade shows identified to be good resources to support sales growth
- Attend annual sales meeting and present territory results and plan for future growth
- Travel as needed
Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in a technical sales role
- Technical Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
- Experience in the Rubber and Plastics industry (a definite plus!)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and to communicate well with customers and manufacturing personnel.
- Experience in business to business selling to OEMs is a plus
- CRM experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and developing/presenting Power Point collateral as needed
