Precision Digital is looking for a Houston based territory sales manager for the Texas & Oklahoma area.

60% travel, half of travel is overnight.

This is the perfect job for you if you enjoy travel, learning about process industry customers, meeting new people, and being the hero who can help us bring in new business. To do that, you will visit customer locations to grow Precision Digital’s direct business, and travel with our 40-person independent territory representative’s outside sales team. You will travel a great deal in the Houston area, but also throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and occasionally other nearby states.

To support your efforts, Precision Digital will provide best-in-class inside sales and application support, near limitless accounts and contacts to develop, and a partnership with a major rep firm eager to work with you. You will visit the factory in Massachusetts quarterly for training, updates on new products, and to get to know the team at our headquarters.

The ideal candidate has a history of outside sales work within the process industry with either another manufacturer or a process instrumentation rep company.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop the local manufacturer’s rep, and get them to successfully sell when you are not with them. Sell more by getting the rep salespeople to sell when you're not present.

· Find new direct business opportunities at a wide range of customer types and industries.

· Learn the value proposition of Precision Digital display and control products, and promote that to end users, OEMS, private labelers, systems integrators, and resellers.

· Quickly become an expert at presenting Precision Digital products to customers.

· Log all calls, visits, and customers met in the CRM (Salesforce.com), and be able to make valuable use of the information already in the CRM.

· Help create your own plans on where to travel, and who to see to maximize your impact on sales.

Precision Digital’s manufacturer’s rep in the territory is Vector Controls and Automation Group, located at an impressive and easily accessed location in Pearland, Texas. When not travelling, you will work out of the Vector CAG headquarters to build relationships and selling opportunities with their team.

Travel: 60% travel. The territory for travel is primarily Texas and Oklahoma, with a strong emphasis on Texas and Houston in particular. Travel to other territories may also be required, including travel to Massachusetts to visit Precision Digital headquarters once per quarter.
