BARTENDER / POOL HOST
JOB SUMMARY
Carroll Hospitality is currently seeking enthusiastic, creative, and experienced bartenders to provide a friendly and hospitable guest experience. Qualified bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks, exceeding guests’ needs and expectations.
- Plan and present bar menu; take accurate orders and provide high-quality service and verify identification in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations
- Assess guest’s needs and preferences, making recommendations/accommodations, as needed
- Collect payment, balance receipts, and run reports following hotel policies and procedures
- Manage, restock, and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Maintain bar area for cleanliness and appearance at all times
- Arrange furniture in the pool area in preparation for guests and throughout the shift to ensure that the area remains clean, tidy, and free of safety risks
- Ensure all pool safety items are present and in good repair
- Complete shift checklists set forth by F&B Supervisor
- Flexibility to assist in other areas of the hotel, should inclement weather arise, causing the pool to be closed
- Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Handle guest issues with a positive attitude, always alerting your supervisor/manager on duty
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED, 2 years’ experience; or equivalency of education and experience
- Previous bartending experience in a hotel/hospitality environment is strongly preferred
- CPR, First Aid certification. Training can be provided if one does not have already
- Must be able to work on the weekends and evenings
- Must be trustworthy, punctual, have a positive attitude with attention to detail, and be committed to high-quality customer service
- Must possess solid verbal, written, and reading English communications skills to effectively interpret information and speak effectively to guests, other team members and personnel
- Physical: Requires standing for long periods of time and on occasion may be asked to lift and carry up to 40 pounds while performing the duties of this job, it may be also required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
