The Therapeutic Services Director provides leadership related to the development, promotion, and maintenance of a therapeutic environment for the students we support. Working independently and in collaboration with the GLS Psychologist, this position develops therapeutic strategies and identifies therapeutic modalities applicable to the students supported. The Therapeutic Director provides hands on, on-site supervision and clinical direction to Company employees, including but not limited to Therapists and Behavior Support Specialists.

Responsibilities

• Assures that an ongoing program of therapy is designed to meet the physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of each student.
• Provides leadership and direction to Genesee Lake School Therapists, including assignment of caseloads, training, on-going supervision, and evaluations.
• Offers advanced clinical supervision to individual Therapists through case monitoring and review of therapeutic interventions/plans. Applies knowledge, expertise, and experiences in the development of staff and makes recommendations to improve student and agency outcomes.
• Works in collaboration with the GLS Psychologist to assess effectiveness of therapeutic modalities and implement innovative, evidence-based treatment models.
• Develops training standards and assists with training (various treatment modalities, professional classes, etc.) including, but not limited to: Genesee Lake School Therapeutic Supports and Suicide Awareness.
• Serves as a key member of the Genesee Lake School leadership team to guide, implement, and evaluate agency-wide initiatives.
• Maintains department expertise and ensures compliances with program accreditation standards (COA), local, state, and federal licensing and regulatory requirements, and community standards governing treatment services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or other related discipline required.
• Licensure by the state of Wisconsin required.
• A minimum of 5 years post licensing clinical work required.
• A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required.
• Must be able to provide supervision hours.
• Trauma treatment training and experience preferred.
