The hospital is less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. Millwood Hospital is a Joint Commission accredited hospital with a solid reputation in the community.

The Intake Therapist:

The Intake Therapist is responsible for assisting with coordination of assessments of incoming patients with A&R Counselors, coordinates Doctor’s assessments and initiates the Admission process with the Admissions Clerk under the direction of the Director of Access.

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in a human relations field.
Two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting with supervisory experience. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact.
A working knowledge of the DSM-IV and the Mental Status Exam.
A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.
