This is an Adjunctive Therapy position at our Parthenon Pavilion location.

Centennial Medical Center is the home of Parthenon Pavilion, which houses adult and geriatric patients both voluntary and involuntary with 132 inpatient acute beds. The program focuses on the provision of the following essential services:

• Interdisciplinary Patient Assessment and Treatment Planning
• Psychiatric and Medical Management
• Nutritional counseling
• Caregiver Assessment and Counseling
• Crisis Stabilization
• Care and Management of Activities of Daily Living
• Patient and Caregiver Education
• Community Resource Referral
• Discharge Planning
• Liaison Services with Placement Facilities

Job Duties:

• You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, ability to gather data, demonstrate knowledge in range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.
• You will be implementing therapeutic programming and treatments for assigned patients.

• You will develop and establish goals and objectives for assigned groups.
• In this role you will complete psychosocial assessments, group notes, care plan reviews, patient education notes and progress notes for assigned patients.
• You will actively participate in treatment planning, case reviews and physician rounds.
• You will have the opportunity to provide field instruction and supervision for recreation or music therapy student interns.
• You will be asked to research evidence based programming techniques to be shared and utilized by treatment team.
• Provides behavioral health education to community agencies, facilities and referral sources.

Requirements:

• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with external and internal customers.
• Current BLS certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy or Master's Degree in Art Therapy are required
• CTRS, ATR or MT-BC, as specified by specific discipline professional certification guidelines (or eligible to sit for certification)
